"I transform color and light into whimsical shapes to help brighten your day with a smile."

Lisa Marie Studios

Creativity has always been a part of me.  From an early age, I always loved to collect quirky mementos and trinkets that made me smile.  As I got older, I wanted to keep that creative spark alive and started collecting beads.  In 2002, I enrolled in a beginning lampwork glass bead class and have enjoyed playing with fire ever since.  Creating with glass satisfies my inquisitive side with its many nuances and chemical reactions while feeding my creative side often incorporating colorful patterns and quirky shapes into my own whimsical style.  Working with glass in its fluid form is fascinating to watch and fun to explore.  It provides me the opportunity to use my imagination and design a one-of-a-kind piece that captivates my audience.  I thrive on the challenge of translating what is in my head into something solid that can be held in the palm of one’s hand.  I work primarily with soft glass like moretti, vetrofond & bullseye because the color palette is never-ending.  With a background career as a Paralegal, I became intrigued with creating flameworked glass beads in my home studio in Charlestown, Indiana.  My body of work ranges from bright whimsical glass bead designs to collaborative metal sculptures.  I am a member of the International Society of Glass Bead Makers.  I am a juried member of the Louisville Artisans Guild, a member of the Bluegrass Glass Artisans and a member of the Jeffersonville Arts Alliance.  Also, I am currently a resident artist at the NoCo Arts Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana.  My designs have been exhibited at art shows and galleries in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio & Tennessee.
